Simon Pollard, a scholar with significant expertise in bringing risk science to bear in water utility practice and governance, will frame the importance of utility planning for climate resilience in the context of risk management and sustainability.  Currently Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the School of Energy, Environment and Agrifood at Cranfield University in the U.K., Dr. Pollard’s work has influenced the practice of risk management and policy within government, regulatory agencies and the international water utility sector. He has authored government guidelines in environmental risk management and produced best practice guidance for the water sector on good risk governance.
