Douglas Yoder will provide insights and examples of how the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department is working to adapt to the impacts of climate change, specifically storm water drainage and sea level rise, with an emphasis on the communication component of Miami-Dade’s work. Yoder’s talk will include insights to Miami-Dade’s approach to communicating with customers, elected officials and other stakeholders about the need for and benefits of adaptation. Yoder is a Deputy Director of the Water and Sewer Department, the largest utility in Florida and one of the 10 largest in the United States.
